Learning Objectives

Students will learn the basics about library resources for college research:

  • how to find and use library services and resources
  • how to find books, electronic books, articles and videos 
  • how to search Google effectively and use alternative search engines. 

Library Research Guides

Librarians have created more than 100 research guides, listing the most useful books, e-books, article and video databases and other resources to help you with specific research assignments. They are listed by subject on the library's home page in the Research by Subject box. Here's one guide that is especially popular.
