To search subscription library databases from off campus, log in with your college username and password when prompted. For more answers: 

Searching with Your Phone

You can search on your phone too. Go to the library's home page (https://library.sunyacc.edu/home). Do a search, then:

  • To limit a search to books, e-books, articles or videos: choose "Refine Your Results" > limit your search as wanted (date, material type) > "Apply Filters."
    • On the results screen, you can also click All Resources and limit to Print books, Articles, E-books or Videos. 
  • To find a scholarly article on your phone: choose "Refine Your Results" > "Peer-reviewed Journals" > "Apply Filters." 

To get to Advanced Search, after you do a search, click the three horizontal dots in the top right of the screen, next to the pushpin icon.

Sign in with your college username and password to request books and save search results.

Signing into your Account at the SUNY Adirondack Library

Signing into your account allows you to see more full-text results as well as save searches and your results. Use your college username and password to sign in. 

Library Database Search Tips

The library's databases offer more than 80,000 online magazines, newspapers and scholarly peer-reviewed journals.

Before searching for articles, look at these short videos. These tips will find better results quickly!

Find Books

  • Start at the library's home page and use the "Start Your Research Here" search box. 

Limit to Circulating Books to find print books to borrow.

  • Our library has about 30,000 print books.

Limit to Ebooks to find electronic versions of books. You can download and read chapters.

  • Our library has about 200,000 electronic books. 

Borrow Books and Check Your Library Account

Time-saving option:

  • Sign in to your accounts using your college username password to get full access.
  • You can request print books to borrow from the library's search box page.
  • Just click on a print book link and fill in the Request for pickup at Library Circulation Desk.
  • Then, pick up the book at the Library Circulation Desk in the Scoville Learning Center.
