Reference Librarian (Part Time)
Master's in Library & Information Science, University at Buffalo
I started working part-time as the reference librarian at SUNY Adirondack in the spring of 2025. I grew up in the Glens Falls area, and during high school I took dual-enrollment courses on the SUNY Adirondack campus (and spent a fair bit of time in the library!). After graduation, however, I opted to complete my B.A. in English at a small school in the Philadelphia, PA area called Cairn University. While at Cairn, I worked as a student worker in the university's library and fell in love with the academic library environment. I decided to pursue an online master's in library science from SUNY Buffalo after graduation, but continued to work at Cairn's library as the library assistant throughout my degree pursuit. After graduating in December of 2023, I moved back to New York to be closer to my family and then-fiancé, whom I married in the summer of 2024.
Unsurprisingly for an English major and librarian, I am a bookworm to the core. I love reading all sorts of genres, although my favorites are usually fiction. If I'm not reading in my spare time, you can likely find me writing stories, working on some sort of creative art project, doing something outdoors, or spending time with my family and friends. In the summer months, my husband and I enjoy going on walks and playing pickleball, volleyball, and soccer.
