These databases have numerous children's literature articles and encyclopedia entries.
Don't forget about print journals, magazines, and newspapers. The library subscribes to a wide variety of periodicals, including Young Children, EdDigest, and EDUCAUSE. These are located in the Periodicals area on the Library's top floor. Faculty and administrators may borrow periodical issues. You can also check out industry magazine websites for more news and articles.
The SUNY Adirondack Library also has a small collection of audiobooks. They are interfiled on the shelves with the physical books.
To check if we have a specific audiobook:
Since our collection is relatively small, you may have more luck finding audiobooks through your local public library - either as physical audiobooks or as downloadable e-audiobooks (see the box "Finding More Books Outside of SUNY Adirondack Library" on the Home page of this guide).
The library also has a video collection - both physical DVDs (and a few VHSs) and streaming video.
To find a DVD:
DVDs (and VHS tapes) can not be borrowed from the library, but they can be viewed in the library.
The library also offers streaming video through the database Films on Demand. See the Films on Demand box for more information.
