Demographics

Who are your customers? For basic demographics (people, income, ages, home ownership, etc.), start with these U.S. Census Bureau websites:

Statista offers statistics on industry trends, consumer preferences and much more. 

  • Continuing Ed. students may access this library database on campus only.
  • Students with college username/passwords can access off-campus.
  • Use drop-down menus:
    • Outlooks > Consumer Market Outlooks
    • Tools > Business Plan Export. 

Occupational Outlook Handbook offers details on about careers, income and industry trends.
